Rara Lake Trekking is remote area and lies in the northwest of Nepal.The lake is beautiful and peaceful.This region around Jumla and lake is relatively unexplored area.Rara lake is 28 Kilometers north of Jumla reaches in four days .Trekking is starts from Jumla.Jumla is trans Himalayan valley with high ridges covered with forest and alpine pasteres. The one and half hour flight from Kathmandu to Jumla that passes Dhaulagiri region .Jumla town is 2340m and delightful valley.Jumla is along with broad valley Tila river which is 18 kilometer west of Litikot,there is hot water spring is known as Tatopani.
Rara Lake is at 2980 meters altitude lake Rara which shows the snow capped panorama of Dolpo and Tibetan mountain overshadows the scene across the deep clear water. The lake is peaceful surrounding and reflected of Glacier Lake of blue water. In summer season rainfall is low that is good for trekking. In winter season there is often snow on the ridge surrounding the lake.T he lake is 5 kilometers in long and 2 kilometers in wide is the largest lake in Nepal. The National park is the best place in Nepal to view wildlife. In this park deer,musk,leopards,ghoral,tahr,black panther, red panda,rhesus,landguor is known as long tail monkeys and many kinds of birds are found.In this park also have bird watcher's team during the November and April month. The final four days treks offer view the Mugu,mountain of Humla and border of Tibet. The trial takes through grassy alpine pastures and remote villages,after that steeply off the second pass to Jumla .From this place fly back to Kathmandu to Nepalgunj.Trekkers are also enjoyable, view of beautiful peace lake and much more things in this place.
